In 1998 the school was recognized by Bihar State education board as non-funding school with the extension of academic classes up to VIII. In 2008 the school was segregated as Mahatma Budh School and Shaurya Pre- Primary School. The School was taken by OTA, Gaya from ASC Centre (North) in April 2011. The school is functioning under the aegis of AWES and recognized by CBSE, New Delhi. The school was accorded approval as Army Public School, OTA, Gaya w.e.f 01 April 2014 along with CBSE approval on 1 st January 2014 up to Secondary level. Presently the school is running from class one to Secondary.

The school emphasizes an overall development of a child by fostering a synergic blend between scholastic and co-scholastic achievements and a host of co-curricular and extracurricular activities which find a rightful place in the curriculum. Therefore, success is not just being good at studies taking part in various activities and excelling in them but also the attitude towards elders, teachers, class mates and above all oneself. My unflinching belief has always been that those students who find pleasure in diligent and disciplined life reap a bountiful harvest in the form of divine satisfaction and worldly success.

This requires a team effort of both the schools as well as the family. I believe that the entire purpose of education is not only to humanitarian values like wisdom, compassion, courage, humanity, integrity, and reliability in a student. I rely upon the anecdote that excellence is a continuous process and not a chance. As per the National Curriculum Framework 2005, each and every child possesses enough potential and we need to develop their core competence by providing them all the facilities for their all-round development. I am sure the painstaking efforts of the teachers and developing culture of APS will set a strong foundation to take giant strides ahead and achieve the educational objectives for a stronger and brighter India. I am convinced with the idea that our children are bestowed with divine fire. As a facilitator, our sole aim is to fan their inner fire so that they may illuminate like cherubs. . I cherish being a part of this glorious institution dedicated to the cause of better India. I especially want the students to have the courage to think differently, to travel the unexplored path, to discover the impossible and to conquer their problems and succeed.
